Mid Year Freak Out book tag (2017)

I've been seeing a lot of people do the Mid Year Freak Out book tag and it seems like fun. I have absolutely no idea who created this tag so if you know comment down below so I can add it. I know its late but better late than never!
1. Best book you’ve read so far in 2017.
Lord of Shadows for sure! I love this book so much. Other favourites include Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson and ACOMAF by Sarah J. Maas.
2. Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2017.
Still going with Lord of Shadows. Other than LoS probably ACOMAF!
3. New release you haven’t read yet, but want to.
ACOWAR by Sarah J. Maas! I promise I will get to it soon!
4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year.
Warcross by Marie Lu! I am so jealous because so many people have arcs.
5. Biggest disappointment.
Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I ended up DNFing it. I was just so bored and could not stand the writing style. I tried to ignore it and push though but I gave up.
6. Biggest surprise.
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness.
7. Favourite new author (debut or new to you).
Richelle Mead! I am currently making my way through her Vampire Academy series for the first time.
8. Newest fictional crush.
Cassian from ACOMAF!
9. Newest favourite character.
Rhysand from you know what book!
10. Book that made you cry.
Other than LoS, Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson.
11. Book that made you happy
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins and Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda. Both were super cure and I loved them both. I smiled like and idiot while reading it

Well most of the answers were LoS but I am shadowhunter book trash. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you in my next post!

Unfiltered Review

Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me.Title: Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me.
Author: Lily Collins
Narrator: Lily Collins
My rating: 4/5 stars

This is me trying to type a full review on my phone. I apologise in advance for typos.

This book is written by Lily Collins who is an actress and she did play Clary in the City of Bones movie.

I listened to the audio book and enjoyed it! It is narrated by Lily Collins and the story feels more real like she is there telling you the things that happened in her life. She is though since she is the narrator. I usually do not like audio books but since Collins was telling her own story helped me enjoy the book and listening to the audio so much more enjoyable.

Unfiltered shows tells the story of Lily' s life and tells people a very positive message. Love yourself. It is a very important message in my opinion.

I rarely read (listen to) non fiction books so it was a good change. I highly recommend the audio book and I do recommend this.

And the reason why it took me so long to read is that I borrowed it from my library and it auto returned so I had to rerequest it.

Every Last Word Review

Every Last WordTitle: Every Last Word
Author: Tamara Ireland Stone
My rating: 4.5/ 5 stars
Date Read: 6/30/17

I really enjoyed this book and it probably one of my favourite books of the year. I honestly was never going to read this book bit after hearing Emma over at emmabooks talk about this many times and I saw it available on overdrive I just had to pick it up.

This is a mental health book and follows Samantha who has OCD. She is part of the Crazy 8s which is the schools popular group. She is afraid they will discover her illness. One day she meets a girl named Caroline and is introduced to Poet's Corner and it changes her.

Now I honestly don't know how well OCD was represented in this book but it seemed realistic to me.

I loved how the main character had more than one hobby the other being swimming because people have more than one hobby. I also liked how swimming kept appearing in the book.

Something I won't say what actually reminded me a bit of We Were Liars. I won't say what but if you read both you may be able to figure it out.

I really enjoyed the characters and the messages it shares. Over all I do recommend this!
